FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS, THANK YOU.

THANK YOU for the love, the support, the trust, and for allowing these two young entrepreneurs to chase their dreams. It's been a wild ride, filled with excitement, fun, and some tough life lessons, too. We hope that our products have brought you joy and that they've made your lives better.

Over the last 18 months, we've been involved in a trademark dispute regarding our federally registered trademark 'ARRISTE.' The disputing company claims we are attempting to pass off our products as theirs, effectively confusing and deceiving you and other potential customers into buying our products. They claim we are profiting off of their brand reputation, which is completely untrue.

They filed a petition to cancel our registration of 'ARRISTE' with the US Patent & Trademark Office. Upon review of the marks, the brands, the product offerings, and after consultation with trusted colleagues and advisors, our position was that no reasonable person would confuse our two companies. We retained the best legal counsel we could and fought to defend our trademark.

Unfortunately, we learned the hard way that in this US legal system, it's not always about who is right or wrong, but who can stomach the bill to prove it.

As a small startup, we simply weren't able to. The cost of litigation coupled with the global supply chain issues crippled our ability to operate. We weren't able to release new product regularly, couldn't restock inventory, and operated on little to no marketing budget for months. That's a recipe for failure.

Ultimately, even if we had fought to the end and won, they would have already bled us dry beyond repair. This month, we made the difficult decision to throw in the towel, concede, and cease operations.

It's a deeply saddening experience, but one that we just have to accept as part of the game we signed up for as entrepreneurs. The journey has been filled with obstacles, but we've learned a ton and made some great memories with all of you along the way. We've certainly grown from this venture and will take these experiences with us into our future endeavors.

We know the time to say goodbye will always come eventually, as it does for all companies, but we certainly never thought we'd be saying goodbye so soon. The good news is that we will move on. Nothing great lasts forever. Nothing bad does, either.

Again, thank you, truly, from the bottom of our hearts for giving us this opportunity and for supporting us since the beginning.

Until next time,
Travis Nguyen & Steven Lam
